Edenton Mission College, Inc. (EMCI) is a government-recognized private educational institution located in Sison, Maitum, Sarangani Province, Philippines. Guided by its enduring philosophy of "Training of the Head, Heart, and Hand," the College is committed to providing quality, values-centered education that develops learners intellectually, morally, spiritually, and socially.
For many years, EMCI has served as an institution of learning dedicated to preparing students for meaningful careers, responsible citizenship, and lifelong service to their communities.
Our Story
Our Story
The name "Edenton" comes from the T'boli word meaning "Paradise Found."
EMCI traces its beginnings to 1947, when missionary Rev. Amado L. Chanco, then Chairman of Christian Mission in the Far East, ventured into the hinterlands of what is now Maitum, Sarangani Province. Through the support of local T'boli leaders and the pioneering work of the late Alfredo D. Tañedo and his family, a mission station was established to serve the community through Christian education and ministry.
What began as a humble mission eventually grew into Edenton Mission Schools, offering elementary and secondary education before expanding into higher education. Today, EMCI continues to provide quality education to students across Sarangani and neighboring provinces while remaining faithful to its Christian heritage.

The School Seal
The School Seal
In the school seal there are two concentric circles. In the inner circle is the Bible wide open and a torch with rays of light emanating therefrom. Below is the school motto — Science, Faith and Love.
Believe in the Science of Education and the whole Bible, consisting of the Old and the New Testament, to be verbally inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God and inherent in the original writings.
The Bible is the basis of our Education with God and the Lord where the teachers and students go back and play their individual role as fruitful members of the church so that the Holy Triune God may live in their hearts and in the heart of all people.
